Clipper round the world race 2011-2012
In July 2012 the Clipper Round The World Race came to Derry in Ireland, just 15 minutes from Willow Cottage. Highlights, besides the clipper event itself, were the Maritime Festival in Derry and the annual festivals taking place across Lough Foyle in Donegal in July. These included the annual and hugely popular Dylan Fest in Moville. At Dylan Fest you can soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the craic and great music at a genuine Irish street festival dedicated to the legendary Bob Dylan. The ferry from Willow Cottage to Donegal is only 10 minutes away and the journey to Moville only another 5-10 minutes. If you miss the last ferry you won't be 'stuck in moville' as it's only a 30-40 minute drive round the lough coast again to willow cottage.
